At Minifarms, we are passionate about reducing food waste.
For us, food is an essential, a luxury for some, a social comfort that brings joy into our homes and the glue that binds communities together.
Wasting food not only impacts our pockets, but also contributes to global warming. If food waste was a country, it would be the third largest greenhouse gas emitter in the world. In NSW, more than a third of the waste we send to landfill is food.
That's about $10 billion worth of perfectly acceptable food being thrown away every year by NSW households. In order to address this problem, we have partnered with LFHW NSW to help make food waste avoidance a social norm by 2021. Read more about what LFHW NSW are doing here:
