These New Icons Will Help Inform Your Minifarms Shop

Make informed choices with the help of four new in-app icons. Designed to help you spot which products align with your dietary requirements and preferences – you won’t want to miss them.

At Minifarms we value transparency and believe it’s important for you to be well-informed about the products you’re consuming. That’s why we’ve developed four new and easily identifiable icons to draw your attention to the stuff that matters.

A little spray-bottle icon will now appear next to any fresh produce that has been sprayed with pesticides or other sprays. You’ll find it currently applied to our grapes and strawberries. While Minifarms prides itself on primarily sourcing spray-free produce, sometimes this isn’t always possible and, when it’s not, we want you to know about it.

To cater to all our members and their dietary requirements, we’ve also introduced icons to our dairy free (DF), gluten free (GF), and vegan (VEGAN) products.

If you’re after a dairy free alternative of your favourite food, look out for the conveniently placed ‘DF’ icon. You’ll find it alongside tasty products like pestos and sauces supplied by Naturally Sauced. Or, for a sweet treat, Wholefoods Refillery has a great range of dairy free dark chocolate pantry items – all marked accordingly.

We’ve also made it easier for you to locate vegan-friendly products, with the new ‘VEGAN’ icon. It’s particularly helpful when searching for ready-made meals – no more scouring the ingredient list. We recommend checking out Momma Kombucha, a local business supplying a fantastic assortment of 100% vegan kombuchas, fresh soups, dressings, preserves, dips and more.

For our bakery connoisseurs, we don’t want gluten to be an obstacle when buying baked goods. Artisan Bake Distribution offers a delicious variety of gluten free products from Shepherds Bakehouse and Little Secrets Bakery, while St Malo Bakery also has its own range of gluten free baked goods – all marked with that important ‘GF’ label.

Be sure to look out for these icons during your next shop.
