With the launch of our first pods- you should have seen how many pears were ordered! In honour of how amazing pears are at the moment- here is a recipe to help everyone take advantage of these "pear-fectly" in-season fruits! Eating what is in season is so good for our health, our tastebuds and our wallets!

Please enjoy this chutney as part of an entertaining tray, on toast with cheese, as part of a sandwich, as an accompaniment to roast, or even as a topping for a Buddha bowl! What do you like chutney on?
Pear Chutney- because pears are awesome at the moment!!!!
What you need:
200g raw sugar
300ml apple cider vinegar
1 star anise
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 Spanish onions, sliced thinly
1 tsp grated ginger
10 pears (we like any green variety), peeled and chopped into chunks
1/4 cup sultanas
Method:
Bring the sugar the apple cider vinegar to the boil in a large saucepan and add the star anise, cumin, onions and ginger.
Add the pears and reduce the to a simmer.
Continue cooking for 45 minutes or until the liquid is syrupy and the pears are cooked.
Stir in the sultanas and store in sterilised jars.
